Finished walkway and decking in front of the CHU. I know it's not exactly a thing of beauty, but we're all about functionality around here. Besides, there's plenty of room for expansion once warmer weather moves in and we need extra deck space.

Walkway partially finished. We got it up to our front door, so at least we can walk dust free for 100 feet. It's the small things in life that count, like dust mitigation...

With the knowledge that rain will arrive in the near future, Isaac and I decided that a boardwalk connecting to our neighbors would be necessary to prevent tracking mud into our room. So we set out with our primitive construction equipment and laid down the foundations. (It remains to be seen how much a deluge of water causes the cross pieces to sink...)

The board walk looks great! I'm really impressed, especially if those tools laying there were all you had! Madre'
You and Isaac are so cute, doing your home improvement tasks...you will remember that beauty AND functionality will come into play when you do that for your own home?
Functionality...always
Beauty...only when it adheres to the concept of functionality.
Besides, we can get much higher quality wood back home.
